My banking career started back in the spring of 2000 where I was selected to participate in an internship program by the name of Inroads. I had no idea the impact this program would have on my future!
A native of Ohio, I attended The Ohio State University and during each summer break I would travel back to my hometown Toledo, OH to work at a regional bank. I would work in a different department every year and my final stop the summer before my senior year was Commercial Banking.The commercial bankers were the big shots and I had to be one of them. Now at the time, all I could see is that they wore tailored suits, drove really nice cars and golfed weekly!
But in my pursuit of becoming a big shot commercial banker, I soon learned that those were small rewards for the service and advocacy they provided to their clients.
